Over the last few years, the ELTC teachers have been providing home/distance students with regular online seminars on a range of academic skills/writing topics. Information about them are put on the language support hub for students. These have proved really popular with students and we would like to continue to offer these regularly to students and so I’m asking for expressions of interest from teachers to present. They normally only last 45-60 mins and you can normally adapt existing materials you’ve used in class. Full support will be given on the technical side from me, so these are a great chance to dip your toes into the world of online teaching in a comfortable environment.

On this form you can find a place to add your name if you are interested. You can add a possible topic/date if you wish, but it’s not essential at this stage. Underneath the table you can see a list of previous seminars with the title/presenter and a link to the recording of the seminar. You may want to have a look at these to help you decide if you want to present and to think about a possible topic or talk to one of the presenters to find out their experience of doing this. We currently have presenters up until the week beginning 23rd November, so any time after that is fine.
